Hood hemispherical or rarely elongated, the most often as high as wide; yellow or yellowish perianth not falling after blossom; nectaries always reaching the top of hood, nectary spurs coiled; seeds with three wings of comparable size on the edges; leaf lobes narrow, greatly incised up to 3/4; xerophytic nonrosellate plants with short or long apogeotropic shoots; tubers in the early ontogenesis spherical and later becomes elongated napiform, sometimes divided
